Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (11/5/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. The first set of the quarterfinals went quite well. Heroic won in three maps but unfortunately, stavn did not play as well as we had hoped. On the other side, G2 demolished NiP and moved their way on to the semi-finals. Today we have a couple of banger matchups as Gambit takes on Furia and the rivalry that continues between s1mple and ZywOo. NaVi and Vitality take each other on in the second match.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Friday, November 5th, 2021, at 11:30, am

PGL MAJOR STOCKHOLM 2021

Best of 3

  • Gambit (-400) vs. Furia (+280)
  • NaVi (-400) vs. Vitality (+270)

Captain Plays

S1mple: 9k for s1mple is laughable. That's honestly cheap, to be honest. I'm used to seeing him close to 10k or more. We are getting him at a discount and I'm sure everyone will be on him. But he is good reliable chalk that I will eat for the rest of his career. s1mple has been a menace during the major and I don't see him slowing down. He has been +14(two maps), +14(one map), and +3(one map) during the event so far. He has a 1.57 K/D with a .88 KPR and a very low .56 DPR. If there is anyone on this slate you should be getting it is s1mple. I do want to mention though his opponent ZywOo, at 7,800$ is a great one-off from Vitality and has always shown out in games against NaVi.

sh1ro: During this major sh1ro has been dominating the competition. Even in a loss, he is still going positive. FURIA is going to be a much tougher match than I believe the odds indicate but I do see Gambit still coming out on top. Especially if sh1ro comes in competing the way he has been. In the three bo1 matches he went +7, +4, +9 and in the one bo3 match he went +28 in a big win over NiP. He might be the most expensive on the slate but I honestly think he is one of the best options on the slate and rostering one of these two guys at captain could be necessary to win tournaments. He holds a 1.80 K/D with a .84 KPR and an insane .47 DPR. Lock him in.

Other captain plays in order of preference: Hobbit, B1t, ZywOo, KSCERATO(GPP), electronic

Value Plays

nafany: nafany has been sneaky good during the tournament and at 7k, I'm all over it. He has been Even or better in all 4 matches played during the Major so far and in a Gambit stack I think is a great piece. Interz is just not the player you really want when it comes to DFS. He just doesn't perform. The next option is nafany and so far he has carried a 1.29 K/D with a .80 KPR and a .62 DPR. He is playing stellar and they will need him to continue to play well as they wish to move on to the semi-finals.

Shox: This is a little bit more on the GPP side of things but I think Shox has been mispriced. During this tournament, he has been playing very well and on some occasions leading the team or at least being right behind ZywOo on the leaderboard. He is only 5,400$ and is probably one of the cheapest players on the board that are viable. He looked fantastic in their win over Entropiq that helped get them into the quarterfinals. It's worth a shot with how well he has played and how cheap he is as a GPP shot in the dark or a decent punt play. During the tournament, he had a 1.03 K/D with a .63 KPR and a .61 DPR.

Other value plays in order of preference: KSCERATO, Perfecto, interz, VINI(PUNT)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Gambit: I've been hesitant on Gambit during this LAN event as I've always thought of them as an Online team. They are one of the best Online but when it has come to a couple of LAN events, I haven't been impressed. This time around they have looked better only taking a loss to Entropiq. They get a FURIA team that is coming in hot led by KSCERATO and yuurih. I think Gambit has the higher chance at a sweep though as Vitality could get a map against NaVi as they have in the past. Furia should put up a fight and make the maps close but I see Gambit coming out on top.

Sh1ro is the top option and should be featured in every lineup. He has been nothing but elite lately and will be carrying this team. After that, I'm looking to Hobbit who has had his moments so far and played fairly well during the tournament. Ax1le on the other hand has been a little lackluster and has felt absent during this tournament so far. I'd prefer to go with his teammate Nafany who has played very well so far and is a much cheaper price. Lastly, we have interz... If that's all that's left and you see Gambit sweeping, then interz isn't a horrible option, but he is my last play to look for on Gambit.
