CS:GO DFS Picks
Best of 3 Series
- Complexity (-260) vs Cloud9 (+180)
- Team Liquid (-175) vs MiBR (+130)
Captain Plays:
BlameF: BlameF has been statistically one of the best players in recent weeks. He has gone positive in 17 of his last 20 maps. Holds a 1.30 K/D, gets about .77 kills per round, and has very minimal deaths per round at .59. This is a team that he could have an absolute feast on. Cloud9 is ranked 152nd in the world and BlameF is a top 10 player in the world currently. It definitely explains his price on both sites. But he is worth every penny of that salary. He could be considered a must-have in this slate as he is clearly the best play on the slate; whether you have him at captain or not.
Elige: Elige has been one of the best players for TL in the last three months. He has a 1.20 K/D and is getting close to .81 Kills Per Round and with a minimal .69 Deaths per round as well. He makes for one of the best options at Captain as he is involved in everything that goes around each map. You also might see an advantage in playing EliGE at captain relieving some of the chalk that might surround Complexity and BlameF.
Other captain plays: kngv-, Naf, K0nfig, Grim, floppy(GPP)
Value Plays:
Rush: Complexity has the highest chance at a sweep which makes everybody in play for them. Poizon has slightly higher upside but Rush is a bit cheaper and if it means getting an extra player you like more, Rush could be the better play. We aren't looking for a lot out of Rush, just to go positive and get the sweep bonus. He is the cheapest player on both sites for Complexity at 9,200 on FD and 6,200 on DK.
In the sweep against Sprout just a few days ago, Rush went +8 and got the sweep bonus which is all we can ask for. Cloud9 is not as good as Sprout either. Note: Rush is a lot better play on DK as he is dirt cheap compared to the rest of Complexity, but on FD poizon is more than likely the better play and has more upside.
Grim: Grim has been playing extremely well lately giving TL that boost they needed to be considered a contender in this tournament. He has gone positive in 7 of his last 10 maps and has about a 1.05 K/D with a .70 Kills per round and .65 Deaths per round, He is no All-star by any means but he is definitely worth his price on FD. He is a little bit more expensive on DK but could still pay off his salary. A pivot to Twistzz on DK is viable as well. As they have similar stats.
Other value plays: Twistzz, vsm, poizon, Stewie2k
Top Stacks/ Team Picks:
Complexity: Complexity has been one of my favorite teams to stack in recent weeks and even though both sites have made it more difficult to stack them. They are still one of the best stacks on the slate. Complexity is ranked 10th in the world. They have won four of their last five with the one loss being to Vitality who is the No. 1 team in the world. Complexity made quick work in their first game in the blast tournament against Sprout. Winning in convincing fashion 32-8. They will more than likely come into this hot and it may be too much for this Cloud9 team who is still working out the kinks.
Team Liquid: TL is one of the best teams in the North American region. They pulled out of a close one against MadLions the other day and showed they can still hang with the best in the EU region as well. They have a tougher matchup against MiBR who made easy work of FaZe recently. I would expect this match to go to three maps and this could mean either team could score well even in a loss. I give TL the edge but it will definitely be a close one and MiBR would be a great GPP stack to get different if you are looking that way.
Other Top Stacks/ Teams: MiBR, Cloud9(Deep GPPs)
