The Indianapolis Colts must be confident that Andrew Luck is ready to return to the football field against the New England Patriots in Week 6. The team is back down to just two quarterbacks on its roster after releasing Josh Johnson for the second time in two weeks.
The odds of Johnson ever seeing the field with Luck back in action are slim to none, so it makes sense that the Colts would go on with just two quarterbacks. Matt Hasselbeck has proved himself as more than capable of filling in for Luck if need be. In fact, some people are even starting to argue that he should be the team's starter over Luck.
And the Colts know that Johnson isn't going anywhere. If Luck were to go down again, the team can always sign Johnson for the third time this season.
Regardless of who starts at quarterback for the Colts in Week 6, let him ride your fantasy football bench against the Patriots on Sunday Night Football. After all the deflategate nonsense, it's a safe bet that the entire Patriots team will be out for blood. If Luck does start, that doesn't bode well for him.
