BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues
ANALYSIS: For those of you who missed it, Collin McHugh tore up the As and Mariners last week, making him a waiver wire sleeper to consider in just about all formats. The good: in his first 2 starts this year he's pitched 15 1/3 innings, has 19 Ks vs 3 BBs, has only given up 5 total hits and 1 earned run, leaving him with a sparkling 0.59 ERA and 0.52 WHIP with 2 wins. Not too shabby. The bad: he pitches for the worst team in baseball, has a crazy low .161 BABIP, and an 89% strand rate, all setting him up for some regression. He gets the Mariners again in his next start, so if you're looking for a SP off the waiver wire, consider adding McHugh. Just don't expect him to keep up this level of dominance long term.
