BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 13% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: The quietly excellent season from Pirates infielder Colin Moran continues. He was originally expected to be a bench bat for the Pirates coming into the season, but has won himself an everyday job hitting right in the heart of the order. The 2B/3B is now slashing a nice .277/.329/.470 with 10 home runs and 41 RBI in 70 games played.
As long as he continues to bat cleanup, he should rack up RBI opportunities in a solid Pittsburgh lineup. While he doesn't start against fellow left-handers, the slight dip in total plate appearances is mitigated by an uptick in his slash line, which would be seriously worse if he had to face same-handed arms. Expect that pattern to continue, which increases his value in leagues that allow daily lineup changes.
Regardless, Moran is still available in 87% of Yahoo! leagues, and is worth a look in 12+ team leagues thanks to his positional flexibility, solid batting average and very productive RBI numbers. You'll want to snag him before it's too late.
