BALLER MOVE: Start
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1
ANALYSIS: Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet is currently the TE3 in full-PPR scoring, and he plays at one of the easiest positions for fantasy managers to make choices in start/sit decisions. You pretty much start the guys who are actually doing stuff, because most TEs are hardly doing anything fantasy relevant.
Massive fan of Cole Kmet’s game because he can do it all… including long snap! pic.twitter.com/Y5RaV5Fu2q

He is very good at football. Including catching the ball, breaking tackles, and scoring touchdowns, so that helps. Additionally, offensive coordinator Luke Getsy may have gotten over what could have been a bout of absolute insanity. He ran mostly 11 personnel last game, meaning he kept three receivers on the field.
This meant Kmet significantly outsnapped Gerald Everett, who Getsy was trying to get involved in the game with 12 personnel, keeping WR Rome Odunze off the field and diverting volume away from Kmet. This makes absolutely no sense, considering Everett isn't good, and Odunze was a top-10 NFL Draft selection. Insanity? Who knows.
Moving forward, we hope to see a ton of the same kind of personnel packages and, hopefully, No. 85 running more routes, though he did match Odunze with 27. We will also hope to see more than five targets -- that's the main issue with the TE, though, as there are three wide receivers and a running back who command significant targets.
As with most tight ends, he's a boom-or-bust player, but you should start him this week.
