ANALYSIS: Given the injuries across the tight end landscape, Cole Kmet is a must-add in 12+ team leagues
The tight end position has been hit hard by injuries through the first three weeks of the season, including recent injuries to Sam LaPorta, Trey McBride, and George Kittle. As a result, many fantasy managers need a reliable tight end, and Kmet's breakout performance came at the perfect time.
In Sunday’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Kmet recorded ten catches for 97 yards and a touchdown, totaling 25.7 PPR fantasy points. Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams has leaned on Kmet as a security blanket, and he is emerging as a trusted option in the offense.

While Kmet wasn’t a major factor in the first two weeks, he stands out in the red zone, where he leads the Bears in targets. He’s also benefiting from injuries on his own team, with Keenan Allen's absence freeing up additional targets early in the season.
With multiple top tight ends sidelined Kmet will be a hot commodity on the waiver wire, especially with a favorable Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams’ depleted secondary. Kmet is a must-add in 12+ team leagues.
