Coby Mayo is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 14 (2024). TargetCoby Mayo as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Stash in Standard Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: August/September
ANALYSIS: Baltimore Orioles' No. 3 prospect Coby Mayo spent about one month on the injured list after fracturing his rib on May 16. Since his return, Mayo picked up right where he left off. He went 6-for-13 (.462 average) with three home runs and six RBI across four games on his rehab assignment at High-A.
Then, he was returned to Triple-A Norfolk on June 18. In four games back there, Mayo is 6-for-13 for one home run, two doubles, and two RBI. Those impressive numbers have lifted his season stats to a .307 average with 17 HRs, 16 doubles, and 45 RBI. As a result, fantasy managers should definitely be stashing MLB Pipeline's No. 19 overall prospect.

— MLB Pipeline (@MLBPipeline) June 22, 2024
He has been one of the best hitters in Triple-A this season, and he just hit 29 HRs and 99 RBI in the minors in 2023. It remains to be seen when Mayo will eventually be called up by the Orioles. Right now, there really isn't a spot for him on the active roster, but it's hard to ignore the type of numbers he is putting up. So, look for Baltimore to call him up sometime in August or September, making him a great stash candidate in most leagues.
