BALLER MOVE: Add as TE2 but avoid in DFS
OWNED IN: 56% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: It's never wise to overreact, good or bad, to a single game. So let's take Coby Fleener's seven-catch, 43-yard, one-touchdown Monday night performance with a grain of salt.
The Indianapolis Colts tight end's most recent outing marked just the second time this season he's eclipsed four receptions in a game. He's surpassed 50 yards just twice, and has two touchdowns through the midway point after finishing with eight scores last season. These numbers are as much a reflection on the Colts' offense, which between general on-field struggles, Andrew Luck's injuries and the recent firing of offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton, has been a train wreck this season.
Fleener still offers solid TE2 value, but remains too inconsistent to be relied on as an every-week starter. This weekend in particular brings a tough matchup, as the Colts host the Denver Broncos. Denver just held Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers to a career-low 77 yards, so it would be unwise to expect another big game from Fleener. There are certainly safer options available for DFS lineups. After a Week 10 bye, the Colts then face Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh, three defenses that are far more generous to opposing offenses through the air.
