Two weeks left, Closers and Saves Report readers. That's it! Two weeks until the regular season ends and a very irregular season known as the postseason begins! Most fantasy leagues are well into the playoffs at this point, with some already in the finals and some others already wrapped up. But there's still baseball to be played, games to be saved, holds to be held, and so on.
This week, a pair of committees sorted themselves out of being committees. Another two committees continued as we expected them to, but they're still committees. And then one former solid bullpen looks like a committee now to close out the year. Let's take a look at that and everything else that happened in Major League Baseball's bullpens this week.
Be sure to also keep an eye on our RotoBaller Fantasy Baseball Closers and Saves Bullpen Depth Charts. They're updated daily, or sometimes even more often in this wild 2022 baseball season.

Oakland Athletics - Bullpen and Closers News
The A's bullpen hasn't been all that settled at all this year, but it's looking like they may get it to settle down here at the end of the season. What was an all-out committee for a while has now seen Domingo Acevedo earn four straight saves, including three in five days. Acevedo will be set up by A.J. Puk and Joel Payamps, but the ninth belongs to Acevedo now.
The A's might not get a ton of wins down the stretch, but Acevedo makes for a decent pickup for fantasy managers hoping to add a save or two in their matchups.
Risers: Domingo Acevedo
Fallers: A.J. Puk
Washington Nationals - Bullpen and Closers News
The Nationals bullpen has existed in multitudes this season. At times, it's had set roles for seventh, eighth, and ninth inning guys, and at other times, it's been a committee where almost anything goes. Right now, it seems like it is coming out of an "anything goes" phase and settling into more set roles.
Kyle Finnegan looks like he has fully taken control of the ninth inning and the closer's role after a few weeks of Washington playing matchups and mixing things up. Unless he struggles down the stretch, it's likely that Finnegan hangs onto the closer's role through the end of the season. Carl Edwards Jr. and Hunter Harvey will work in primary setup roles ahead of Finnegan.
Risers: Kyle Finnegan
Fallers: Carl Edwards Jr., Hunter Harvey
Minnesota Twins - Bullpen and Closers News
The Twins picked up Jorge Lopez from the Orioles at the trade deadline and...only one of those two teams is still even on the periphery of contention for a playoff spot. Unfortunately for Minnesota, it's the bird team. Now while it hasn't all been Lopez's fault, his 5.60 ERA since the trade hasn't helped. Jhoan Duran, meanwhile, has a 0.76 ERA in the second half and seems to have worked his way into the ninth inning. We'll call it a committee with Lopez for now, although the team might want to give Duran as many chances as possible to see if they go into next season with him or Lopez as their planned closer.
Risers: Jhoan Duran
Fallers: Jorge Lopez
Short Relief - Other Bullpen News
-Dylan Floro looks like he'll get whatever few save chances the Marlins have for the rest of the season.
-Jimmy Herget picked up his sixth save and remains the leader of the Angels committee.
-Brandon Hughes also picked up his sixth save and should continue as head of the Cubs committee.
-Garrett Whitlock is done for the season. He'll have surgery and hopes to be ready for Spring Training. John Schreiber should continue leading the Boston committee.
-Pete Fairbanks has four of the past five saves for the Rays. That's basically a full-time closer in Rays bullpen speak.
