BALLER MOVE: Start at 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: DST12
ANALYSIS: The Cincinnati Bengals D/ST is only owned in 38% of Sleeper leagues, and it is a great streaming option this week against a week Pittsburgh Steelers offense. The Steelers will be without starting quarterback Kenny Pickett for the third straight week. In the past two weeks, they only averaged 240 yards and 15.5 points per game with Mitch Trubisky starting. This week, Mason Rudolph will start, but he shouldn't be expected to do much better.
A comparison of the two quarterbacks' career passing stats by the Tribune-Review prior to the 2022 season shows that Trubisky has been more productive than Rudolph:
Rudolph: 208.1 yards, 60.7% completion, 1.3 TDs, 1.0 INTs, 79.2 rating, 6.25 yards/attempt, 0.5 fumbles/game, .550 win perc.
Trubisky: 212.2 yards, 64.1% completion, 1.3 TDs, 0.7 INTs, 87.2 rating, 6.73 yards/attempt, 0.5 fumbles/game, .580 win perc.
The Bengals defense is not one of the top-12. If you have a consistent defense like the Cowboys, the Dolphins, the Colts, the Browns, or the Saints on your team, you should start them instead. But the Bengals have the potential to finish in or near the top-12 against poor offenses. They finished as a top-15 D/ST against the Arizona Cardinals, the Seattle Seahawks, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Minnesota Vikings, according to PFF's default D/ST scoring system.
They are tied for 17th in sacks per game this season, but they have been on a hot streak lately with three or more sacks in four of their past five games.
