After reports that he would see increased usage in the run game, Christine Michael only had five carries for 18 yards last week. This was disappointing, and made worse when Darren McFadden took over for injured starter Joseph Randle. This week McFadden is one of the top pickups, but Michael still deserves a spot on your fantasy squad.
Randle has an oblique injury and it is not clear when he will be back for Dallas. Looking at McFadden's 29 carries for 152 yards in Week 7, he looks like he could step into the Demarco Murray workhorse role and be valuable to fantasy owners. However, McFadden has been both inconsistent and injury-prone in his NFL career, and has ruined many fantasy teams in the past.
McFadden is averaging 4.3 yards per carry this season, but most of his yards came last week against a questionable Giants D. No Dallas RB is worth playing this week against Seattle.
The Dallas running back situation is far from settled and there is plenty of time for McFadden to disappoint again. He will undoubtedly suffer some big hits against the Seahawks this week, and is just one shot away from the sidelines. With Joseph Randle injured for now, there should be more chances for Michael to prove that he can be the most explosive back in Dallas. If you had Randle and missed out on McFadden, see if Michael is available.
