BALLER MOVE: Stash in Dynasty/Keeper Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: July 2024
ANALYSIS: Christian Scott, the New York Mets' promising right-handed pitching prospect, has already made his mark on the big leagues this season. The 25-year-old hurler made his MLB debut earlier this year on May 4, against the Tampa Bay Rays, showcasing the potential that made him a fast-rising star in the Mets' system.
In five major league starts spanning the month of May, Scott posted a respectable 3.90 ERA with 25 strikeouts and only six walks in 27.2 innings. He more than held his own against the world's best competition, but the Mets optioned him back to Triple-A for a bit more seasoning. Scott's return to the major league club is coming, but not as soon as some would hope.
As Mets manager, Carlos Mendoza said “We have a lot of off days coming up, so a five-man rotation is best for us moving forward’’. The Mets, who are still riding the high of the Grimace hot streak, appear to be in no rush to make a move and will look to bring up Scott after the break while closely monitoring his innings.
Christian Scott retired 12 in a row to probably end his night. Good bounce-back outing, only allowing 2 runs over 6 innings

Scott is currently available in 86% of Yahoo Leagues, 96% of ESPN Leagues & 66% of CBS Leagues but doesn't seem to be more than a streaming option once he's called back up. He should be stashed in all dynasty and keeper leagues where possible, and added to watch lists in all others. He possesses the stuff to put together some big games and can help teams looking for strikeouts while not hurting ratios, however, if the Mets' offense can continue the level of play they've been showing, Scott may even be able to help fantasy managers nab a couple of wins as well.
