BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 25% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Dodgers utility man Chris Taylor has been getting regular playing time all season and has started every game for the team in June. While he’s mostly been hitting somewhere in the middle-third or bottom-third of the lineup, he’s also led off on occasion, which is very intriguing considering the potent Dodgers lineup.
Taylor’s stats on the year aren’t anything exceptional. He has a slash line of .243/.313/.432 with seven home runs, 31 RBI and 25 runs in 74 games. He has a low xBA of .214 and offers very little in terms of power. Really what you’re banking on with Taylor is dependability and positional versatility in one of the league’s best offenses.
Taylor is eligible at shortstop, second base and outfield in most leagues, so if you need a safe fill-in at one of those positions who is unlikely to kill you in any particular stat, Taylor is worth a look. He doesn’t have the high upside or low floor that many other waiver wire candidates have. Take a look at him in NL-only leagues and 12+ team leagues. In more shallow leagues, you’re good to leave him out there.
