ANALYSIS: New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave had high expectations in his second NFL season. While the young wide receiver hasn’t met the high expectations, he has played well. Olave is the WR23 for the year, averaging 11.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Last week, the second-year wide receiver missed the game against the New York Giants with an ankle injury. Thankfully, head coach Dennis Allen said Olave is off the injury report and will play against the Los Angeles Rams.
Olave has scored double-digit fantasy points in nearly 70% of the games this season, including five straight. He has had at least 94 receiving yards and 14.4 fantasy points in three of the past four games before missing last week’s matchup with an ankle injury.
The Rams have surrendered 28.5 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, slightly above the league average. Over the past two weeks, wide receivers have torn apart the Los Angeles secondary, totaling 30 receptions for 412 receiving yards, five touchdowns, and 94.2 fantasy points.
Fantasy players should start Olave as a low-end WR1/high-end WR2. The wide receiver has played well lately and has an appealing fantasy matchup.
