BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 29% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: New York Jets tight end Chris Herndon IV (hamstring) is still yet to make his season debut for the team, but anyone in deep leagues struggling to find tight end production would be wise to add him now before it's too late.
Outside of about eight players, tight end has been an extremely unreliable position this year. There could be hope on the way as Herndon figures to be a key member of the Jets passing game when he makes his return. He's been questionable leading up to games the past two weeks, so it's likely that he'll either make his debut in Week 8. He might be limited at the start, but if he builds upon his 2018 rookie year, where he caught 39 passes for 502 yards and four touchdowns in limited action, he could be a big boost to your lineup down the stretch.
The Jets don't have a lot of playmakers in their passing game and Herndon could prove to be one of the team's best offensive weapons down the stretch. Add Herndon in leagues of 14 teams or deeper. He's well worthy of a bench spot as a potential low-end or even mid-tier TE1 during the most important stretch of the fantasy season.
