BALLER MOVE: Start In All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR1 (PPR)/WR2 (Standard)
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is thriving playing out of the slot in offensive coordinator Liam Coen's new offense. He's quickly become QB Baker Mayfield's top target and has scored over 20 PPR fantasy points in each of his first two games.
Godwin has fantastic target volume (eight targets per game) and touchdown ability (touchdowns in each of his first two games). He's outscored and out-targeted Mike Evans to start 2024, and while Evans provides significant target competition, this offense can support two elite fantasy receivers.

Godwin is a wizard out of the slot and is already completely comfortable in Coen's new offense. Mayfield and Godwin have a chemistry that's carried over from 2023, and that's positive for Godwin's continued production.
While Godwin is off to a great start, he's not likely to sustain this level of production. The Lions and Commanders, his first two opponents, had two of the worst pass defenses in the league last year, and that seems to be a continuing trend in 2024. Those may be the two easiest matchups the Buccaneers face for WRs all year.
That being said, even if Godwin scores five fewer PPR points per game the rest of the year, he's a smash start and belongs in your starting lineups.
