BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell should be started in most fantasy leagues during his matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. EST.
Boswell remains one of the league's more reliable kickers deep into his age-32 season. So far this year, he has made 23 of 25 field goal attempts, including five from beyond 50 yards. He is also a perfect 17-for-17 on extra points. Even though the Steelers' offense has faltered at times, they have played well enough to support fantasy-relevant production from Boswell, a former Pro Bowler.
Boosting Boswell's fantasy stock is a very favorable matchup. The Colts' defense ranks in the bottom half of the league, and while they could play solid against Steelers backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky, they're still susceptible to giving up the big play. That creates a prime opportunity for Pittsburgh to cross midfield, setting up Boswell to hit a couple of long field goals.
Furthermore, the Colts' defense has surrendered 10.2 fantasy points per game to kickers this year, which is the highest mark in the NFL. That includes 0.6 field goals per game from at least 50 yards out (second-most in the NFL).
All in all, Boswell's reliable leg and favorable matchup make him a solid top-12 kicking option in fantasy football this week.
