The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at the Chicago Street Course on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Grant Park 165 on Sunday afternoon.
The 40-car field was split into two groups for this practice session. Below you'll find the two practice groups, key notes from the practice session and the practice speeds for all drivers.
The Chicago Street Course is a temporary race track that has been built on--you guessed it--the streets of Chicago. This is just the second time ever that the NASCAR Cup Series has raced on this circuit, and is the third road course race of the season.

Shane van Gisbergen - The defending winner of the Chicago Street Course is back this weekend, driving the No. 16 Chevrolet for Kaulig Racing. In practice, van Gisbergen had one of the fastest cars, ranking second-fastest on the speed chart behind Kyle Larson.
AJ Allmendinger - With Shane van Gisbergen taking over the No. 16 Chevrolet this weekend, AJ Allmendinger has moved over to the No. 13 Chevrolet for Kaulig Racing. While these should be somewhat similar cars, Allmendinger was just 23rd-fastest in practice.
John Hunter Nemechek - For pretty much the first time this season, John Hunter Nemechek looked sporty in practice. The No. 42 Toyota was 12th-fastest on the speed chart and Nemechek ranked third-fastest in five-lap average. JHN hasn't finished better than 21st on a road course in his Cup Series career.
