The Grant Park 220 was ran on the Chicago Street Course this past Sunday, with Shane Van Gisbergen getting the win in his first ever NASCAR Cup Series attempt for Trackhouse Racing.
Van Gisbergen had the best Average Running Position during the race (4.87), followed by Kyle Larson (6.67) and Michael McDowell (8.32). Larson ended up finishing 4th when the checkered flag wave, while McDowell came home 7th.
Of the top 5 finishers in the race, Kyle Busch, who ended up with a 5th-place result, had the worst average running position at 20.54. One reason for this is because Busch wrecked into the tires early on in the race but ended up recovering.
