Kansas City Chiefs running back Charcandrick West has emerged as a great option at running back over the last month. Following the heartbreaking season-ending injury to Jamaal Charles, West has become the starting running back and is giving great fantasy production at the position.
West is averaging 21.7 standard fantasy points per game over the last three weeks. His numbers are even more impressive in point-per-reception leagues due to his threat in the passing game. Andy Reid has a history of developing new running back stars and West is already looking like the latest addition to Reid’s resume.
Kansas City has a great matchup against the San Diego Chargers defense--no team has given up more fantasy points to opposing running backs than the Chargers. West is still fairly cheap in daily fantasy and may even be on the waiver wire in a small percentage of standard leagues. Take advantage of the hot streak and a stellar matchup with West this week.
The Dallas Cowboys have finally found a running back to trust this season with Darren McFadden. Joseph Randle and Christine Michael both failed in their opportunities with Dallas. McFadden used his touches to showcase his skills and found himself a starting job for the remainder of the season.
The best thing about McFadden’s game is he will be a threat in both the rushing and receiving aspects of the offense. Tony Romo returning to the quarterback position will actually help McFadden. Romo will likely create more touchdown opportunities and add to the one flaw in McFadden’s fantasy game--a low touchdown total.
McFadden will face the abysmal Miami Dolphins run defense. The Dolphins have given up the second-most fantasy points to running backs this season and McFadden has been productive enough to trust in the great situation.
You can’t ask for more at the running back position than reliable players with great matchups and a cheap price. Charcandrick West and Darren McFadden are top-flight options at running back in Week 11.
