As we enter the middle of the college football year, we find some familiar names on the slate. However, we also have a few lesser-known MAC teams and some teams that have not been fixtures on the main slate. That should make for a nice spread of ownership.
It is preached every week here, but injuries are also going to play a HUGE factor in value this week. Bryce Young, Dillion Gabriel, Cedric Tillman and Mohamed Ibrahim highlight the injury list. As an overall theme, if you are in cash games or risk averse it is likely to avoid any injury tags as college programs are notoriously sly about the severity of most injuries.

CFB DFS Quarterback Rankings
QB | GPP Rankings Per $ | QB | Cash Rankings Per $
1 | Kurtis Rourke | 1 | Kurtis Rourke
2 | Tyler Van Dyke | 2 | Garrett Shrader
3 | Garrett Schrader | 3 | Quinn Ewers
4 | Max Duggan | 4 | Max Duggan
5 | Quinn Ewers | 5 | Spender Sanders
6 | Spencer Sanders | 6 | Alabama QB
7 | Alabama QB | 7 | Jason Bean
8 | Jaren Hall | 8 | Hendon Hooker
9 | Jason Bean | 9 | Jaren Hall
10 | Robby Ashford | 10 | Jaxson Dart |
For those not familiar with MACtion, the name Kurtis Rourke at the top might surprise you. However, this is a high-powered Ohio team that has already put up over 50 points two times. Outside of Rourke, cash games should be chalky at quarterback with Quinn Ewers, Garrett Schrader and Max Duggan underpriced for their recent production.
In GPP’s Rourke still feels too cheap but there are several viable options to go with. The Alabama QB’s are in a smash spot against an incredibly high paced Tennessee team, but the injury risk makes them a question. Also dual threat Robby Ashford has not been great thus far, but is in an up-tempo game where they should be trailing, at low ownership he has nice upside.

CFB DFS Running Back Rankings
RB | GPP Rankings Per $ | RB | Cash Rankings Per $
1 | Sean Tucker | 1 | Bijan Robinson
2 | Bijan Robinson | 2 | Jahmyr Gibbs
3 | Sieh Bangura | 3 | Braelon Allen
4 | Raheim Sanders | 4 | Sean Tucker
5 | Jahmyr Gibbs | 5 | Chase Brown
6 | Kaytron Allen | 6 | Blake Corum
7 | Mohamed Ibrahim | 7 | Sieh Bangura
8 | Braelon Allen | 8 | Quinshon Judkins
9 | Kendre Miller | 9 | Raheim Sanders
10 | Chase Brown | 10 | Kendre Miller |
This week running back looks to be incredibly top heavy with rock solid options up top, while having few spend down plays. Robinson, Allen and Brown have perhaps the most secure workloads in the country and all should be popular in cash games, even in average match-ups.
In GPP’s you have more options to choose from across the board. After being a late scratch two weeks ago, Mohamed Ibrahim is going to be very low owned for his ability, but as we have seen, he is no sure thing to see the field. The Penn State backfield is a little crowded, but Kaytron Allen is coming off a ton of carries and is by far cheaper than Nicholas Singleton, he could be a nice savings option.
CFB DFS Wide Receiver Rankings
WR | GPP Rankings Per $ | WR | Cash Rankings Per $
1 | Quentin Johnson | 1 | Xavier Worthy
2 | Xavier Worthy | 2 | Sam Wiglusz
3 | Kody Epps | 3 | Daniel Jackson
4 | Sam Wiglusz | 4 | Bru McCoy
5 | Xavier Hutchinson | 5 | Kody Epps
6 | Jonathan Mingo | 6 | Jayden Reed
7 | Oronde Gadsden II | 7 | JT Sanders
8 | Jalin Hyatt | 8 | Xavier Hutchinson
9 | Chimere Dike | 9 | Corey Crooms
10 | Cam Camper | 10 | Thayer Thomas |
Cash game receiver this week is a bit scary after Xavier Worthy. Players such as Jackson, Epps and Wiglusz are not household names and have not been consistent threats but remain solid values. This is another area to watch injuries as the return of Cedric Tillman could hurt McCoy.
GPP’s are a wild west this week highlighted by the resurgences of Quentin Johnson and Jonathan Mingo. Both had plenty of preseason hype that they failed to live up to until monster weeks last week. Another interesting option is Dike at Wisconsin, coming off a 10 catch game and facing a Michigan State defense that is horrendous against the pass.
