BALLER MOVE: Target ~380 in Deep Leagues
CURENT ADP: 403
ANALYSIS: Hernandez now has a clear path to everyday at bats in 2016 and should bring a nice balance of BA, R, and provide a cheap form of SB production with three position eligibility. Hernandez is going to hit near the top of the lineup and may even get a shot to lead off with a much improved lineup all around in Philadelphia. Full seasons with Maikel Franco, Odubel Herrera and Ryan Howard should help his value and once J.P. Crawford gets to town it will bring what could be the future of the middle infield.
Hernandez had 19 SB in 127 games in 2015 with a solid .342 BABIP. Hernandez will need to improve his career 20.5 K% but his BB% is on the rise nearing 8% and with time should get closer to 10%. If he can obtain 20 SB, hit .280 and have an OBP of .350 Hernandez is going to seem like a steal for 2016 in deep leagues. He is going to need to prove that the Phillies can count on him entering what should be his first full season. Buying low on a 20 SB middle infielder seems like a very smart move that many fantasy owners will overlook.
