The Big East and Big 12 (16) dominated the main slate. Half of the slate belongs to the SEC tonight and the other half belongs to some college basketball blue bloods. It doesn't get much better than this.
The night starts in Austin with Auburn in town. SMU heads to the Dean Dome to take on the Tar Heels. LSU is in Columbia for a Tiger brawl. Mississippi State heads up to Nashville to face Vandy. Texas Tech heads out to Provo to face BYU. We end on the West Coast with UCLA hosting Michigan.
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 1/7/25, starting at 9 p.m. EST. I’ll give multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Cam Carter, LSU ($7.8K)

Carter has been dialed in lately. He shot 44% or better from the floor in all but one game since the beginning of December. He can contribute across the board as an above-average passer and rebounder. If he ever puts it all together in the same game, he has slate-breaking potential.
Ian Jackson, North Carolina ($7.2K)
Jackson has been huge with Seth Trimble out. Considering Trimble hasn't even warmed up with the team yet, I would guess that he is at least one more game away from returning. If Trimble is in, I'll back off of Jackson. If not, Jackson has 100 points in four games with Trimble out to go with 19 rebounds. He's still a bargain at this price.
Claudell Harris Jr., Mississippi State ($6.2K)
Defenses have clamped down on Josh Hubbard and Harris had made them pay. Harris is an efficient shooter, a plus defender, and strong on the boards for a perimeter player. The Boston College transfer has averaged 28.25 DraftKings points per game since joining the starting lineup six games ago.
Caleb Grill, Missouri ($3.7K)
Grill has been eased back into action with 11 minutes against Alcorn State and 14 minutes against Auburn. We should expect him around 15-18 minutes tonight. He's a big-time scorer when healthy, though he is just 2-for-11 from the floor since his return.
He's putting up solid peripheral stats while trying to find his groove. Consider Grill a very high upside value play, though the floor is a little lower than I would like.
Also consider: Kevin Miller, SMU ($8K); Tre Johnson, Texas ($7.1K); Tre Donaldson, Michigan ($6.6K); Roddy Gayle Jr., Michigan ($5.7K); Riley Kugel, Mississippi State ($5.1K); Drake Powell, North Carolina ($4.7K); Sebastian Mack, UCLA ($4.6K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
JT Toppin, Texas Tech ($8.8K)
JT Toppin returned from injury to put up 26, 10 and 4 blocks vs. UCF. Not the flashiest scorer but 11 buckets in 28 minutes, always productive just working in his office finishing plays, flipping in hooks, putting back misses. pic.twitter.com/xzWRqWEDrz
— Jonathan Wasserman (@NBADraftWass) January 2, 2025
Toppin wasn't much of a factor against Utah because he didn't need to be. Texas Tech limited him to just 14 minutes in the blowout win. The Red Raiders showed they were willing to use him against UCF when needed, but if they're up big, Texas Tech will likely pull Toppin again. That's a small risk when the reward is a 50-burger for under $10K.
Matt Cross, SMU ($7.4K)
Cross has become maybe the best offensive threat for SMU in the last couple of weeks. He has averaged 16.7 points per game over the last four games while hauling in an average of nine rebounds per game. Surprisingly, he only has one double-double in that span, but he has been close in every game.
Corey Chest, LSU ($6.4K)
Chest is a constant double-double threat now that he scores around 10 points per game with Jalen Reed out. He has scored in double figures in four of the last six games. He has a double-double in four of those. That's a high ceiling for a guy priced in this range.
Jalen Washington, North Carolina ($4.4K)
Washington is an afterthought in the Carolina offense, but he's an underrated rebounder and a good shot blocker. He tied a season-high with 23 minutes against Notre Dame because they couldn't afford to take him out. The Heels should need him to help with Matt Cross, so he should play over 20 minutes again.
Also consider: Johni Broome, Auburn ($10.6K); Devin McGlockton, Vanderbilt ($7.7K); Cameron Matthews, Mississippi State ($7.3K); KeShawn Murphy, Mississippi State ($6.9K); Jaylen Carey, Vanderbilt ($5.5K); Federiko Federiko, Texas Tech ($4.9K)
