CBB DFS: Main DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (3/8/24)

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Today's main DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 3/8/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

We are getting started on conference tournament season, so the slates take a little longer to come up on DraftKings. I'm not ignoring you guys! I promise! Tonight we have the conference season winding down in the AAC and Mountain West and some conference tournament games from the Missouri Valley and WCC in St. Louis and Vegas respectively.

We start off in Dayton with the Flyers taking on VCU in a conference tilt. Evansville faces Drake and UIC faces Bradley in Arch Madness in St. Louis. Wichita State heads to Tulane to ride the Wave. Boise is in San Diego to face the Aztecs. We finish off with a couple of WCC games with Pepperdine facing San Diego and Portland facing Loyola Marymount in Las Vegas.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 3/8/24, starting at 7 p.m. EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Tucker DeVries, Drake ($9.3K)

DeVries has at least 37 DraftKings points in every game since February 2 and hasn't been under 25 since November 20. He is running roughshod on the Valley this year. He totaled 69.25 DraftKings points in the two games against Evansville this year. DeVries is the most consistent guy on the slate, and he also has the highest ceiling. He just dropped 77.75 DraftKings points on UIC at the end of February. It was in double overtime, but impressive none the less.

Colby Rogers, Wichita State ($7.1K)

The Shockers won't get a postseason invite without a run to the American Tournament title, but they are building for next year with recent wins over Rice and UAB. Rogers put up 54 points combined in those two games, adding seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals. He doesn't do much aside from scoring, but when he's scoring at this level, he's a bargain. Tulane is not a great defensive team on the perimeter, so we could see another strong game out of Rogers tonight.

Max Rice, Boise State ($6.3K)

The disastrous outing against Air Force on February 27 is still affecting the price on Rice He has been back on track since then with 28.75 DraftKings points against New Mexico and 27.5 against Nevada. We can forgive that little hiccup. Aside from that game, Rice hasn't been under 20 DraftKings points since December 21 against Washington State. He usually has a stable floor with decent upside.

Juan Sebastian Gorosito, Portland ($5.3K)

The sophomore is a streaky shooter. He has a hot streak about once every month or so. He got hot at Diamond Head and again at the end of January. He's coming into the WCC Tournament on a heater as well. Gorosito has scored 41 points in the last two games with five rebounds, six assists, and a steal. One of those games was against tonight's opponent, so I'm willing to ride Gorosito again at this price.

Also consider: Michael Ajayi, Pepperdine ($9.7K); Tyler Robertson, Portland ($7.7K); Jaylen Forbes, Tulane ($7.3K); Isaiah Rivera, UIC ($7K); Deuce Turner, San Deigo ($6.8K); Zeb Jackson, VCU ($6.4K); Joe Bamisile, VCU ($6K); Lamont Butler, San Diego State ($5.7K); Roddie Anderson III, Boise State ($5.3K); Marquise Kennedy, UIC ($4.4K); Bijan Cortes, Wichita State ($3.9K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

DaRon Holmes II, Dayton ($9.9K)

Holmes has at least 35 DraftKings points in six straight and eight of the last nine games. That recent streak started with a game against VCU in Richmond and has been the lowest output of this streak (35.25 DraftKings points). If that's the floor, sign me up! Tucker DeVries has a higher ceiling, but Holmes consistently tops 40 DraftKings points. I'll chase that instead of a double-overtime ceiling game.

Alex Merkviladze, Loyola Marymount ($7.5K)

Merkviladze has at least 30 DraftKings points in five straight games and seven of the last eight. His one bad outing in that span was against the trees from Gonzaga. We can forgive that. Portland hasn't had success against Merkviladze at all this season. Merk put up 85.75 DraftKings points on the Pilots in two games this year. Considering the worst game from Holmes recently was against tonight's opponent and Merkviladze's best were against tonight's opponent, I'm okay saving the $2K and dropping down to Merk in GPP formats.

Kenny Pohto, Wichita State ($5.7K)

The knock on Pohto is that he doesn't play a lot of minutes. Wichita State has a plethora of bigs that the rotate regularly, so that often leads to inconsistency from the entire group. Pohto is averaging 10.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 1.3 steals over the last four games. His upside is capped because he rarely plays more than 24 minutes, but he does do well when he's in there.

Bol Dengdit, Portland ($5.1K)

The freshman is closing the season strong for the Pilots. He has at least 20 DraftKings points in seven of the last nine games, including back-to-back double-doubles. One of those was against Loyola Marymount. Some younger big men have issues staying on the court because of foul trouble. That hasn't been true for Dengdit. He has played at least 30 minutes in every game since the beginning of February. He hasn't fouled out since the end of January. I like the upside for this price.

Also consider: Jevon Porter, Pepperdine ($8.7K); Tyson Degenhart, Boise State ($8.1K); Malevy Leons, Bradley ($7.8K); Darius Hannah, Bradley ($7.1K); Filip Skobalj, UIC ($6.1K); Toibu Lawal, VCU ($5.5K); Gregg Glenn III, Tulane ($3.9K)
