We go from the little guys in their conference tournaments this afternoon to the heavyweights closing out their regular seasons tonight. We've got a Pac-12-heavy slate tonight, so you know it's got some star power! There are a couple of East Coast games to start us off first. Rutgers is in Madison and UAB heads to Philly to take on Temple before we head out west.
Our Pac-12 extravaganza starts in Eugene with the Ducks hosting Colorado. It's the last Apple Cup on the hardwood (at least in the Pac-12 era) up in Pullman. Arizona heads to Pauley Pavillion to take on UCLA. Arizona State is also in L.A. to take on the Trojans. Utah is in Corvallis to take on the Beavers. We end by the Bay in Palo Alto with Stanford taking on Cal.
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 3/7/24, starting at 7 p.m. EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.
Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
KJ Simpson, Colorado ($9.2K)
The Ralphies are currently one of the first four out, according to most bracket nerds. Simpson is doing his best to vault his team into the dance. He has at least 40 DraftKings points in four straight games and eight of the last 10 contests. The first game of that span was against the Ducks in Boulder where Simpson put up 42.75 DraftKings points. He's basically a lock for 40 at this point and well worth paying up for.
kj simpson pairs an elite handle and pacing/rhythm to his drives with elite shotmaking touch and audacious live dribble passing, he's electric to watch
can play on and off ball, plenty of positive statistical indicators, he's awesome pic.twitter.com/IZpXjA2kwM

Koren Johnson, Washington ($7K)
It has been six games since Johnson returned from a three-game exile to bench purgatory. He is averaging 18 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.5 steals in that span. All of those numbers are way beyond his season averages. The Huskies have had a disappointing season and will need a run through the Pac-12 tournament to get an invite to the NIT at this point. With the way Johnson is playing, don't rule that out.
Jalen Celestine, California ($5.6K)
We can forgive a subpar outing against Utah. It's what Utah does to teams. Before the Utah game, Celestine had at least 20 DraftKings points in three straight and at least 18 DraftKings points in eight straight. His ceiling is capped because he's no better than the third option in Cal's offense, but he might be the best defensive player the Bears have. That gives him a safe floor, which is all we can ask from a value play.
Alejandro Vasquez, UAB ($4.7K)
Vasquez played 54 combined minutes against Wichita State and Memphis and put up 56.75 DraftKings points. He had 36.25 in the previous four games combined. It seems that Vasquez is back in the UAB starting five. I would be surprised if the Blazers removed him with the way he is playing right now. The Blazers need wins to stay in the hunt for a postseason tournament berth. Vasquez is helping them with that goal.
Also consider: Deivon Smith, Utah ($8.9K); Isaiah Collier, USC ($8.5K); Jose Perez, Arizona State ($7.4K); Pelle Larsson, Arizona ($6.9K); Jeremiah Williams, Rutgers ($6.3K); Kylan Boswell, Arizona ($5.4K); Max Klesmit, Wisconsin ($5.2K); Brennan Rigsby, Oregon ($4.4K); Noah Fernandes, Rutgers ($4.1K); Gavin Griffiths, Rutgers ($3.6K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Yaxel Lendeborg, UAB ($8.6K)
David Jones and Nae'Qwan Tomlin gave Lendeborg the business on Saturday, holding him to 24.5 DraftKings points. That was his first time under 33 DraftKings points since the Charlotte game on January 23. We can call that a blip on the radar. Temple doesn't have the size to bang around with Lendeborg and keep him from having his way in this one. His ceiling is 50 tonight.
Oumar Ballo, Arizona ($7.5K)
UCLA can handle most players, but Ballo is not most players. He has averaged 15.1 points, 12.9 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 1.8 blocks, and 0.6 assists since the beginning of February. Ballo put up 37.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Bruins, but UCLA was a different team back on January 20. They might be able to do a better job on Ballo this time around, but I'll take my chances at this price.
Clifford Omoruyi, Rutgers ($5.7K)
This is based solely on Omoruyi's ceiling, so scroll on by if you play cash games. He's far too inconsistent for that. Omoruyi tore up the Wisconsin front in the first meeting with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and eight blocks en route to 49.75 DraftKings points back on February 10. Omoruyi has cleared 40 twice more since then, but he has also been in single digits once and under 20 two other times. That's a terrifying floor, but that upside...people have committed heinous crimes to chase upside like that in this price range.
Lawson Lovering, Utah ($4.4K)
Lovering was good for 20-25 minutes per game before an injury cost him almost three weeks in mid-January. The Utes have brought him along slowly since then, but he is finally logging more minutes lately. He has 45.75 DraftKings points in 41 minutes over the last two games. The 23 minutes against Stanford were the most Lovering has played since December 20. He finally appears to be a safe value play again.
Also consider: Keion Brooks Jr., Washington ($8.3K); Fardaws Aimaq, California ($7.9K); Tristan Da Silva, Colorado ($7.6K); DJ Rodman, USC ($7K); Keshad Johnson, Arizona ($6.7K); Eddie Lampkin Jr., Colorado ($5.9K); Joshua Morgan, USC ($4.6K); Chol Marial, Oregon State ($3.8K)
