We haven't had many crazy conference tournament games like last year, but we've still had some very entertaining ones. The conference tournaments are winding down. Some NCAA Tournament bids were secured, but a couple of teams are still trying to steal bids. We've got another couple of fun days ahead of us!
We have some smaller teams that are on the DFS slate for the first time since November. Don't be afraid to follow the trends of these mid-major teams, especially on the early slate. Some of these mid-priced players from smaller schools will be the key to winning a slate today. I will cover a few such players but don't limit your exposure to just the ones I mention.
Here are my picks across all CBB DFS slates on Saturday, March 15, with the main slate starting at 1 p.m. EDT on DraftKings. The late slate starts at 6 p.m. EDT. NOTE: Due to the quick turnaround of tournament play, DraftKings doesn't have the pricing for the late or night slates at the time of publishing. Those picks will be added by early afternoon today.

Today's Main Slate DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Best Matchups:
Tulane frontcourt vs. Memphis
North Texas frontcourt vs. UAB
Florida vs. Alabama
Core Pieces:
Johni Broome, Auburn ($10.6K)

— Auburn Basketball (@AuburnMBB) March 12, 2025
Broome always has slate-breaking potential, doesn't he? It feels like it. He rebounded from bad games against Kentucky and A&M to nuke Bama for 65 DraftKings points in the regular season finale. He put up 45.25 DK points yesterday in a game in which Auburn only scored 62 points. It should be a higher-scoring and more lucrative DFS affair against Florida today.
Walter Clayton Jr., Florida ($9.3K)
This promises to be another high-scoring affair, as the first game was 10 days ago. Clayton and Florida saddled the Tide with a loss despite Alabama scoring 94 points. Clayton put up 42.75 DraftKings points in that one. His ceiling isn't as high as Broome's, but Clayton's floor is much safer.
Jase Richardson, Michigan State ($7.5K)
The freshman has at least 25 DraftKings points in six straight games and has only been under 20 once since a February 4 loss to UCLA. One of those games was a 29.25 DK point effort against Wisconsin. Don't expect the world, but Richardson should be around 30 DK points again.
Jack Clark, Virginia Commonwealth ($6.5K)
Clark has at least 25 DraftKings points in every game for the last month. He doesn't have much of a ceiling, but a floor of 25 DK Points at this price is very nice. He put up 33.75 in the first meeting against the Ramblers, so I'm expecting more than just a floor game.
Value Pieces:
Kymany Houinsou, Loyola-Chicago ($5.1K)
It's not often that you see a guy go from Washington State to Loyola, but that's the case with Houinsou. He's much the same player that he was for the Cougars last year.
He's not much of a scorer, but Houinsou has double-digit rebounds in each of the last two games and had double-digit assists against UMass in the regular season finale. If Houinsou starts getting a little more assertive on offense, he could put up some big DFS numbers.
Jared Billups, George Mason ($4.8K)
Billups scored a season-high 18 points (39.25 DraftKings points) in the win over George Washington yesterday. The Patriots might need to win the A-10 Automatic bid to get in. They might do it if Billups can score with some consistency. He does everything else well.
Jahmai Mashack, Tennessee ($4.5K)
Tennessee's veteran guards are pushing this team to new heights. Mashack is an excellent defender and strong all over the court, but he has added some scoring of late. He only averaged 6.2 points per game this season. Mashack has topped that mark in four of the last five games.
Anthony Finkley, St. Josephs ($3.7K)
Finkley has at least 17 DraftKings points in 11 consecutive games. There is no reason whatsoever for him to be this cheap, but I'm going to take advantage of it!
Slate-Breaking Potential:
PJ Haggerty, Memphis ($9.6K)
Coach Hardaway Tigers 26-5 (16-2 AAC) is the #1 seed
Tulsa transfer and last year Freshman of the Year PJ Haggerty is the player of the year.. pic.twitter.com/3oQoeGY3x6— CoachHawk / CarHawk (@Hawkmathis55) March 13, 2025
Haggerty refused to let Memphis lose against Wichita State. He scored a career-high 42 points in the win, racking up 64.75 DraftKings points in the process. He has been more consistent than Broome, but Tulane held Haggerty to just 21 DK points in the first meeting in 38 minutes. There is risk here, but the reward is massive.
Mark Sears, Alabama ($9.2K)
Sears racked up 46 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Florida. He has 45.75 DraftKings points combined in the two games since. The ceiling is high, but that floor is terrifying.
Yaxel Lendeborg, UAB ($9.1K)
UAB needs another run through the conference tourney to make the NCAA Tournament again. If they do, Lendeborg will be the reason why. He racked up a staggering 87 DraftKings points on East Carolina yesterday. That's not a typo. 87 DraftKings points! That's the best mark of the season for any player!
Jaxon Kohler, Michigan State ($6.8K)
Kohler was ineffective against Oregon yesterday, but he put up 35.5 DraftKings points against Wisconsin in the first meeting. That was good for his third-highest total of the season. A ceiling game is possible today.

Today's Late Slate DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Best Matchups:
Core Pieces:
Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($11K)
Ju jitsu moves:

— BlueRick (@OmahaIsNebraska) March 12, 2025
Kalkbrenner put up his second straight game of over 50 DraftKings points in the first round. Creighton split with UConn this year (and should have won both meetings). Kalkbrenner put up 76.25 DraftKings points in 79 minutes in those two games. Lock him in again.
Kadary Richmond, St. John's ($9.6K)
I always rave about Richmond's consistency and his all-around game making him a great DFS target. That is especially true today. Richmond was at his best against Marquette this season. He put up 102.75 DraftKings points in 79 minutes against the Golden Eagles this year. Richmond is a great target who will have a lower roster percentage.
Kon Knueppel, Duke ($8.1K)
Knueppel took over for Duke after Cooper Flagg's nasty ankle injury. Flagg will be out today. Knueppel put up 52.75 DraftKings points against the Bees yesterday, thanks to Flagg only playing 12 minutes. That was by far his best game of the season. That ceiling is just as high against Carolina.
Ven-Allen Lubin, North Carolina ($6.8K)
We saw flashes of this last year at Notre Dame. The Heels are finally letting Lubin cook. He has at least 18 DraftKings points in seven straight games. He has topped 30 in each of the last two games. Lubin was solid against Duke in the last meeting. Don't expect a ceiling game, but he should be comfortably in the 20s again.
Value Pieces:
Chase Ross, Marquette ($5K)
Ross hasn't been under double figures in DraftKings points since December 21 against Xavier when he committed four fouls in 17 minutes. Ross isn't one of the first looks on offense, but he's an efficient scorer and piles up the peripherals. He's a solid value play with a very safe floor.
Selton Miguel, Maryland ($4.9K)
Miguel has at least 20 DraftKings points in six of the last seven games. We'll forgive the clunker against Michigan State. Many players have those against Sparty. We'll focus on Miguel's strong, consistent output without the normal price hike.
Trey Townsend, Arizona ($4K)
Townsend played well against Hunter Dickinson again yesterday. I would expect him to be back in a bench role tonight, but Townsend has still flourished in that role lately. He has averaged 19.8 DraftKings points per game over the last four games.
Slate-Breaking Potential:
JT Toppin, Texas Tech ($10.8K)
Big 12 player of the year JT Toppin today in a big win vs Baylor..
26 PTS (10-19 FG, 2-3 3PT, 4-5 FT)
10 REBS
1 AST
3 BLKS
He is the prototype NBA big man !!
How far yall think he can lead Texas Tech? pic.twitter.com/nXwlqvAGGp
— Frankie Vision (@Frankie_Vision) March 14, 2025
Toppin has 156.25 DraftKings points in the last three games and put up 89.25 in just 56 minutes of court time against Arizona this year. Kalkbrenner may be the consistent guy, but Toppin's ceiling is better than anyone else's in the college game. Yes, it's even higher than Broome's.
Braden Smith, Purdue ($10.6K)
The price is prohibitive enough to make it very difficult to run both Toppin and Smith in the same lineup. If you go heavy on value (there is enough, but just barely), you can make it work. It may be worth it. Smith put up 100.75 DK points against Michigan in 77 minutes this year. You'll have the two highest ceilings in the same lineup!
Otega Oweh, Kentucky ($8.6K)
Oweh ran it up on Oklahoma again last night, notching his third game of more than 40 DraftKings points in the last five. This is a great matchup against Alabama, and he's running hot. Beware that floor, though. It's like playing Pitfall on Atari.
Amari Williams, Kentucky ($7.6K)
Williams' production is all over the place and has been all season. Alabama was one of those teams that couldn't figure him out. Williams put up 77 DraftKings points in just 49 minutes of court time against the Tide this year. He has been playing more minutes than that lately, so there is potential for a ceiling game tonight.
