Today is the day that the last great college football season ends, but college basketball is just warming up! All of the big conferences are off tonight, which means we get to get up close and personal with some small conference teams. That could come in handy in a couple of months!
We open up with Northeastern taking on Monmouth. Southeast Louisiana heads to Nicholls State. McNeese State heads over to Northwestern State. We close this out with Houston Baptist heading down to Corpus Christi to take on the Islanders.
In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/8/24, starting at 7 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower end. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Shahada Wells, McNeese State ($9,000)
Wells was a limited player at TCU, but he is now one of the best small conference players that you'll find. He has 109.5 DraftKings points over the last two games alone. Those weren't again teams we've never heard of. The 62 DraftKings point game was against Michigan. Not a directional Michigan school. That Michigan. If Wells can have a monster game against the Wolverines, he can do it against anyone.
Jack Collins, Monmouth ($7,400)
Collins has been one of the more consistent guys for the Hawks this year. He topped 30 DraftKings points in four of the last five games, including their two biggest tests against Oklahoma and Seton Hall. Those are two pretty good defensive teams. I'm not scared of anything that Northeastern can throw at him if Collins can produce against that level of opponents.
Jay Alvarez, Houston Baptist ($5,500)
Alvarez has cleared 30 DraftKings points in three of the last five games. The bad news is that in the two games he missed that mark, he combined for 22.5 DraftKings points. One of those games was against Texas, but it still highlights the risk involved with Alvarez. If his shot isn't falling, he'll sink your lineup. He did score 21 points against TCU at the end of November though. The potential is there for GPP usage.
Also consider: Marcus Greene, Houston Baptist ($7,700); Masai Troutman, Northeastern ($6,800); Roscoe Eastmond, Southeastern Louisiana ($6,200); DJ Richards Jr., McNeese State ($5,700); Lance-Amir Paul, Texas A&M-CC ($4,600)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Jamal West Jr., Nicholls State ($8,200)
West is everything you want in a big man. He's a nightly double-double threat. He's one of the best rim protectors in the Southland Conference. West is an efficient scorer who gets good shots in the flow of the offense. He even averages about eight trips to the foul line per game, giving him more chances at points. West has the highest floor on the slate and a ceiling that is high enough for his price range.
Dayne Prim, Texas A&M-CC ($6,400)
Prim isn't much of a scorer, but he contributes everywhere else. He played 30 minutes against Texas and racked up four rebounds, four assists, and three steals to go with his eight points. That kind of production against a team like Texas bodes well for his chances tonight. That performance has caused a minutes spike over the last couple of games. There is solid potential here.
CJ Felder, McNeese State ($3,900)
Felder didn't make his season debut until December 17 after the court ruling, but he turned in a really solid performance against Michigan on December 29. That earned him 22 minutes with mixed results against Texas A&M-Commerce earlier this week. Felder is a risk, but he's playing half the game at a very low price. He's worth taking a chance on if you need the salary relief.
Also consider: Diante Smith, Nicholls State ($7,800); Garry Clark, Texas A&M-CC ($7,300); Chris Doherty, Northeastern ($6,900); Owen Dease, Texas A&M-CC ($5,300); Porter Bazil, Houston Baptist ($4,200)
