BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 31% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Cavan Biggio could be doing better; the rookie is hitting just .217/.351/.375 thus far. That said, he's putting up solid counting stats, with a rough full-season pace of 20 homers, 20 stolen bases, and 150 R+BI. The 24-year-old has also been a bit unlucky based on his Statcast metrics - with the rate at which he puts good wood on the ball, he "should" have a batting average about 15 points higher, and a slugging percentage over 40 points better.
Biggio has demonstrated a patient approach, walking in over 17 percent of his plate appearance. That may ultimately be part of his problem, though. He's striking out nearly 30 percent of the time despite not whiffing all that often (8.0 SwStr%). More aggression at the plate might serve him well. Even if that adjustment doesn't come, Biggio's contributions in the other categories make him worth rostering in almost all formats despite his low average.
