ANALYSIS: I guess Carson Wentz is playing with the feelings of fantasy GMs this season. After two marvelous outings to kick the year off in which he finished as QB3 and QB5 respectively, Wentz proceeded to drop a couple of duds to the tune of 7.6 and 9.3 FP in the two next weeks. Thus benching in most leagues and straight cuts in some others.

Not anymore and leading up to Week 6, one has to guess. That's because Wentz, even though still incapable of putting the Commanders in a winning position (it's been four straight losses for Washington...) was able to at least rack up numbers this past Sunday against Tennessee.

Wentz is off his third-best game of the year and one that saw him rebound to another QB5 finish pending MNF. Wentz completed 25 of the 38 passes he attempted for a season-high 359 yards and two touchdowns against just one interception. The only thing keeping Wentz from an even better fantasy day was this (also a season-high) three fumbles over the full game this past Sunday.

As a curious data point, it's been three weeks in a row that Wentz completed exactly 25 passes, although he did so this Sunday at a higher completion rate (65.8%) than in the prior two. He's also thrown two-plus touchdowns in three of his five games played and at least one in four of those matches.

While a little bit volatile (one QB3 finish and one QB30 already this season) Wentz is still a better-than-average option for those streaming the quarterback position or looking for someone to make a change in the lineup if their no. 1 QB has struggled through Week 5. Must-roster player in the slightest of deep leagues and a must-start quarterback in most (if not all) deeper and 2QB/Superflex formats.
