BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 55% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: Carlos Santana is still powering up in Cleveland with 10 HR in 57 games, a pace that may result in a 30-HR season. His 11.2% HR/FB% and 4% HR% are both right in line with his career averages. The other side of the coin are his .227 AVG and .327 OBP, which can consequently hurt fantasy owners. A low .217 BABIP may indicate misfortune thus far, as Santana's 23% LD% is still respectable. He has also cut down on strikeouts this season, so there is good reason to expect a jump in average. Still, the main draw to owning Santana is his power production. He was far more valuable when he was eligible at the catcher position, but those days are over. Santana still ranks as a top-15 first baseman for fantasy purposes and slots perfectly as a CI in deep leagues. His home run production warrants ownership in all but the shallowest of leagues.
