He’s got a chokehold on the starting second base job, meaning the at-bats will be there. While he’s got absolutely no power to speak of, he’s been a consistent contact hitter throughout his professional career. I expect him to continue to get on base and score runs, and he should be a serviceable middle infield option at the very worst going forward.
