BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 30% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon has thrown just 50 2/3 innings this season, but looks like he is turning the corner as a solid pitcher. He has pitched 15 innings in his last two starts, winning each, and striking out 15 batters while allowing just five hits. Rodon has also walked five batters, but is now 3-3 with a 3.38 ERA this season.
While Rodon is pitching better, walks are still an issue (20 this season) and his BABIP is an unsustainable .213. He has also allowed seven home runs this season and his FIP is an uncomfortable 4.62. His ground ball rate is a decent 44.1%, but his 27.3% hard hit ball rate is not great.
Rodon will face the Blue Jays on Sunday before facing the Rays in Tampa on August 4. Both teams have been swinging the bat a bit better, but neither are huge obstacles for Rodon to overcome. There are worse options as a streamer in deep leagues than Rodon.
