Yoenis Cespedes was one of the centerpieces for the magical run the Mets went on last season. After being acquired at the trade deadline, Cespedes was a godsend for the Mets and essentially took their offense from worst to first. He would finish the season with a .291/35 HR/105 RBI/7 SB/.870 OPS/101 R line, which was very nice for his fantasy owners. So can he repeat?
The average likely won't be as high, as his BABIP was 19 points higher than his career mark. However, even as his BABIP regresses to his career norm, you'll have a .270 hitter; which is more than serviceable. Also, despite the fact that he is known for some ice cold stretches, Cespedes was remarkably consistent in 2015. It was the first time in his career that there wasn't a single month where he hit lower than .250. The real value here though is obviously in Cespedes' power and RBI production. With Wright and Granderson in front of him and Conforto and Duda protecting him, there's no reason Cespedes won't finish the season as a top-20 outfielder. He will strike out a good amount, but he has plenty of upside.
