What Is Tony Finau's Course History At Detroit Golf Club?
The Rocket Mortgage Classic is a relatively new tournament on the PGA Tour schedule. There have been four editions of the Michigan-based tournament since its inception in 2019.
Tony Finau has made two career starts in the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He has amassed a 67.63 scoring average at Detroit Golf Club across those two appearances. Finau logged a T53 in 2020 and won last year's edition with a score of 26-under par which was a new tournament record.

How Is Tony Finau's Recent Form?
Finau has put forth a strong 2023 season, highlighted by a win at the Mexico Open in April. He has been slightly underwhelming in recent starts, posting a T45 in last week's Travelers Championship and a T32 at the U.S. Open earlier this month.
The 33-year-old has struggled with his putting in recent months. Finau has now lost strokes putting in all five of his starts since winning in Mexico.
Tony Finau's Outlook For The Rocket Mortgage Classic
The defending champion comes into the week as one of the betting favorites at the Rocket Mortgage. Finau's odds are currently at around 14/1 at most sportsbooks. This week's field is of a lower caliber than what we've seen in recent weeks on the PGA Tour and Finau has shown the ability to dominate in these environments over the past year with victories including the Rocket Mortgage, 3M Open, Houston Open, and Mexico Open.
That said, Finau's recently-cold putter will need to warm up significantly this week if he's to have a chance to defend at Detroit Golf Club. This event has routinely required large of amounts of birdies to get into contention and that should once again be the case this week.
