Cam Reddish (SG/SF, ATL): Week 21 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: What if Atlanta really hit the nail in the head with Cam Reddish? What if what Reddish showed during the first two months of the season were just rookie growing pains? Atlanta drafted Reddish just a few months ago and instantly dropped him in a starting lineup that definitely looked too big of a deal for the rookie. Since we flipped the calendar page to 2020 things have looked quite differently for Reddish, though.

Back on Jan. 10 Cam Reddish started a game and played more than 30 minutes for the first time since Dec. 27. That night, against Washington, he only had 9 points and 8 rebounds even playing 35 minutes. Since that game, though, Reddish has played 20 more games averaging 14.4 ppg and missing on hitting double-digits in the points department just four times (and in one of those he had to leave the game after just seven minutes). Since Jan. 17 Reddish has looked impressive alternating starts and off-the-pine performances.

Reddish's best stretch of the year has come lately, as he's averaged 17.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.4 apg, and 1.3 spg in his last seven games--all after the All-Star break. He's played more than 31 minutes per game in that span and his shooting numbers have gone through the roof compared to those from earlier in the season. He's shot over 53% from the floor in the last two weeks and hit 2, 6, 2, and 5 triples in his last four games in that span. Good for you, Reddish's evolution and present-day production have yet to catch up in fantasy leagues--thus the low ownership--so take advantage of it and pick him up no matter the type of league you play in.
