ANALYSIS: It took time, sure, but it's happening. Finally, Cam Akers is the RB1 of the Los Angeles Rams, and it's time to celebrate! While Akers is already rostered in 50+ percent of Yahoo leagues, you still have a virtual coin-flip chance of getting him for free through your WW, so you better be checking just in case. And if you happen to find him resting there, consider yourself lucky!

It's been 13 weeks of NFL games. It's been 10 games played by Akers. But finally, we can safely say that Akers is the leading rusher of the Rams. It's been back to back weeks in which Akers has reached 72+ rushing yards and scored back-to-back touchdowns. More encouraging than that, though, is the fact that he rushed the ball 9 times (in 17 snaps) in Week 12, but that he raised those marks to 21 carries in 52 snaps yesterday, both marking season-high numbers for the running back.

Oh, and in case you are a pass-game lover, Akers caught his lone target for some sweet 22 yards against the Cards. Not bad.

Between the other two rushers in the Rams backfield (Darrell Henderson and Malcolm Brown) they logged six carries and nine touches combined. Akers has put on 14+ PPR performances two weeks in a row, and his usage keeps growing. The Rams have a very soft schedule for fantasy rushers to close the season, facing the 13th-, 20th-, 21st-, and 17th-best such units next. Akers is a must-add in every fantasy league, so all you need to do is check for his availability in your WW. If that's the case, insta-add him to your roster, set him in your lineup, and forget about that one slot ROS. That's it. That's all you need to do.
