BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~230 Overall
CURRENT ADP: ~275
ANALYSIS: The Houston Texans made a splash move at running back this offseason as the team traded for Joe Mixon. He's expected to be the team's workhorse back in 2024.
But an under-the-radar addition to the team was running back Cam Akers. The former Ram has struggled with injuries in his NFL career, playing double-digit games in just half of his four seasons. However, if he's healthy in 2024, he could be in line to serve as a strong backup option to Mixon.

While Dameon Pierce is currently second on the team's depth chart, Pierce is coming off a really poor 2023 season. If he's unable to get back to the level he was at as a rookie, then he's not guaranteed to hold off Akers all season.
After a strong preseason, Akers has appeal as a deep league lottery ticket. While it's more likely than not that Akers won't do much in 2024, he's still a young, talented player in a high-powered offense. If injuries ahead of him can get him on the field, he'll have fantasy appeal.
