BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: QB2
ANALYSIS: Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is still on the easy part of his schedule. He'll face the Washington Commanders in Week 8, who outside of a Week 7 blowout of the Carolina Panthers, have not been very good at stopping opposing quarterbacks.
• Secondary still is abysmal
• Pass rush cannot finish the play & sack the QB despite being in the backfield
• WR1 isn’t involved in the offense until the second half in Year 6
• Haven’t had a good kicker since Hopkins

Washington's secondary has been a laughing stock for years now, and it's not fixing itself any time soon, so the Bears offense should have another solid day. The rookie signal-caller has a solid group of receivers in Keenan Allen, DJ Moore and Rome Odunze, as well as TE Cole Kmet and RB D'Andre Swift, who are solid in the receiving game.
His inconsistency leaves him in QB2 range with some QB1 upside. He does have some rushing upside, and his offense has shown some willingness to run up the score against hapless defenses. That's good for fantasy. But he's only had two games with 15 or more fantasy points so far.
Typically offense don't just magically turn things around and become good overnight. Matchups are vitally important in the NFL. Luckily this one isn't super difficult. He can be started as a decent option in leagues with 14 or more teams.
