BALLER MOVE: Start in Deep (14+ Team) Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving had a nice debut game against the Washington Commanders, carrying the ball nine times for 62 yards (good for 6.9 yards per carry) and had two catches for 14 yards, scoring 7.6 fantasy points. That kind of efficiency is valuable, especially when he's running behind fellow RB Rachaad White, who averaged a terrible 3.6 yards per carry in 2023.

Irving had an excellent run to cap off his day against the Washington Commanders, showcasing his quickness and elusiveness. It was an impressive debut, even more so considering his backfield mate White ran for a putrid 2.1 yards per carry. White's history of consistent inefficiency makes him a big candidate for a reduction in volume. Bucky should start to see increased carries.
Bucky is worth a start in deeper leagues, but he's a hold in leagues with 12 or fewer teams. His role should continue to grow, so that could change. White has been solid in the passing game, but Bucky is no slouch as a receiver, and his elusiveness will make the Buccaneers want to get him the ball in open space anyway as time goes on. For now, start Bucky in your deep leagues, and hole him in smaller leagues.
