Bryant, Rizzo, Frazier, Pederson Make Up NL For Home Run Derby

The National League representatives in the 2015 Home Run Derby will be Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Todd Frazier and Joc Pederson.

The Chicago Cubs send two players to the prelude to tradition every Monday before the MLB All-Star game. Rizzo has slammed 19 HR this season while the rookie, Bryant, has 12 HR after not being in the majors for the first month of the season.

With Giancarlo Stanton on the DL, Frazier leads the NL in HR (25). The Cincinnati Reds third basemen will try and take home his first Home Run Derby title after losing in the finals of last year's derby to Yoenis Cespedes.

Pederson will represent the Los Angeles Dodgers. The outfielder has slugged 20 HR in his second MLB season.

This year’s Home Run Derby will feature another new concept. For the first time in its history, the Derby will be timed. Each hitter will have five minutes to nail as many homers as possible, according to MLB.com. They can stop the clock in the final minute by hitting a homer -- it'll start again with the next pitch -- and earn a bonus minute by hitting a pair of homers 420 feet in their turn, and an extra 30 seconds for a 475-foot bomb.

Another new wrinkle in the Derby is that all eight hitters will be in a bracket. It won’t be AL vs NL. Every man will be representing themselves on Monday. It could be NL vs. NL or AL vs. AL in the finals.
