BALLER MOVE: Stash in Keeper Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: July/August
ANALYSIS: Minnesota Twins prospect shortstop Brooks Lee (back) is recovering from a herniated disc and is expected to miss at least the next month. The No. 2 prospect in the Minnesota system has been sidelined since spring training and has seemed like a safe bet to make his major league debut this summer, but now they may have to wait until later in the summer.

The 23-year-old spent last season primarily with Double-A Wichita and posted an excellent .292/.365/.476 line with eleven home runs, six stolen bases, and a 41:63 BB:K ratio. He then played his final 38 games of the season with Triple-A St. Paul and struggled a bit with a .237/.304/.428 line with five long balls, one stolen base, and a 15:28 BB:K ratio.
The Twins will be very cautious with their No. 2 prospect. Aaron Gleeman of the Athletic reported that Lee’s recovery will take approximately two months, which could set him up to return to the minor leagues sometime in July or early August.
If a frustrated manager dropped Lee in any keeper league, grab him. He is still a highly-graded prospect who could push for a major league debut late in the season or early next season. However, I would hold off on adding Lee in any redraft format until he is back on the diamond.
