BALLER MOVE: Add in NL only and deeper leagues
ANALYSIS: Much like the rest of his career, Arroyo continues to puzzle fantasy owners with his hot and cold streaks. This season, the velocity on his fastball is down a bit, his changeup has gotten quicker and he's been relying on his sinker a lot more. His strikeouts are down and his walks are up but he's on pace to induce the most ground balls of his career due to that sinker. That would've been a plus in Cincinnati last year with one of the best defensive units, but now that he dons a D-Backs (please Arizona, find a different nickname) jersey that could pose problems as Arizona's defensive range is among the bottom third in the league. Of course giving up singles on the ground is better than giving up home runs in the air. At the end of the day, most owners should stay away from Arroyo due to his low K/BB rate, Arizona's poor defensive range and the decrease in velocity. He's an okay spot starter in deeper leagues against lineups heavy with right handed hitters.
