ANALYSIS: Brock Purdy isn't the most talented quarterback in the NFL, but with his weapons healthy, he can put up numbers comparable with Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Kyler Murray, etc. Deebo Samuel and left tackle Trent Williams returned to the starting lineup against Jacksonville and Purdy reverted back to slinging multiple touchdown passes.
In the three games that Samuel missed or left early, Purdy scored 14.6 fantasy points. In the other six contests, that total is over the 20-point mark. That would make Mr. Irrelevant the QB4 based on weekly averages.
San Francisco's Week 11 opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, allows the second-most passing yards per game (266.9). Whether throwing downfield or scheming plays to get Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, or Christian McCaffrey in space, passing yards should be easy to come by for Purdy. It helps that Tampa Bay's run defense is among the stronger units in the league, giving the 49ers' coaching staff a clear point of attack on Sunday.
