ANALYSIS: Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk is really struggling, which has helped rookie wideout Brian Thomas Jr. get off to a strong start.
In Week 1 against Miami, Thomas caught all four of his targets for 47 yards and a touchdown. Then last week against Cleveland, he was targeted four times again, catching two passes for 94 yards.
Malik Nabers had 10 catches for 127 yards and a TD on 18 targets today.
Why can’t the #Jaguars do that with Brian Thomas Jr.?
He had 2 catches today on 4 targets for 94 yards.

He still trails Gabe Davis and Christian Kirk in playing time, but Thomas has been on the field for at least 70% of the team's snaps in both games so far. He's productive when he's out on the field, even with a relatively low target share.
There will be some bust weeks at some point for Thomas since he's reliant on big plays, but his high ceiling makes him a viable WR3 play against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.
