BALLER MOVE: Target Around 80-85 Overall
CURRENT ADP: 87
ANALYSIS: Brian Thomas Jr.--also known as BTJ--is a worthwhile target around his ADP due to the Jaguars' lack of a true WR1.
Christian Kirk is a talented slot receiver, while Evan Engram is one of the league's better tight ends, but neither fits into the mold of an alpha. Engram earned a career-high 143 targets last season, but this was more due to necessity in that broken Jaguars offense than optimal utilization.
LSU WR Brian Thomas Jr. didn’t even pickup a football until the 10th grade. Calling him a raw prospect is like saying water is wet. He just turned 21. There’s quite a ceiling here, folks. pic.twitter.com/A83wskFqe8

BTJ is a special athlete, and his 6-foot-3, 210lbs frame grants him a natural advantage over defenders. His breakout in college was delayed until year three but it arrived in a big manner with 1177 yards and 17 TD across 13 games.
Playing with Heisman winner Jayden Daniels and alongside fellow alpha Malik Nabers helped but now, BTJ gets to play with former first-overall pick Trevor Lawrence in Jacksonville.
The Jaguars lost Calvin Ridley in the offseason and only added Gabe Davis while Kirk is entering the season with a calf issue.
If BTJ can take on a large enough role early this season, he should be able to hold onto it all season, given the draft capital allocated and his intrinsic talent. The preseason utilization of BTJ on intermediate routes where he is in motion provides us optimism he is not merely a serious threat.
