BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 24% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Covid-19 hit Miami Marlins returned to action this week and have yet to lose since their return. Despite having lots of new faces, Brian Anderson has continued to be a mainstay for the NL East surprise package. In just eight games, Anderson has a .269/.387/.577 slash line with two homers, five runs scored and eight RBI. Prior to this season, Anderson had only homered 31 times in 307 MLB games so isn't a power source but is a constant source of counting stats with 155 runs and 139 RBI in his Major League career prior to 2020.
Anderson has hit fifth in the lineup in each of the Marlins games so should be able to score and drive in runs going forward and has also featured at first base once this season (with the other seven starts being at third base) so he could pick up eligibility at both corner infield spots if he sees time at first base a bit more frequently. Even if he doesn't, being able to start at third base or as an outfielder in your lineup is becoming increasingly valuable in this unpredictable season and with the Marlins having to play catchup on the rest of the league, Anderson should get more plate appearances than most other players on your waiver wire between now and season's end. You likely won't find a better contributor to your counting stats sitting on waivers than Anderson in leagues featuring twelve or more teams.
