BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 27% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Expected to serve as the Yankees' fourth outfielder this season, Brett Gardner has instead been a fixture in the lineup due to a cavalcade of injuries to other Yankee outfielders. The latest malady for Giancarlo Stanton figures to keep Gardner playing every day for the foreseeable future, and he's taken advantage. The 35-year-old is hitting .246/.328/.470 with 15 home runs, eight stolen bases, and 95 R+BI in 84 games to this point.
It's surprising to see Gardner languishing on the waiver wire in nearly three-quarters of Yahoo leagues, given how productive he's been. Over the last 30 days, he's hit .329/.430/.630 with six home runs, going deep in the final three games before the All-Star break. He won't provide much help to your batting average, but his contributions in the counting stats merit a bit more love from fantasy owners.
