ANALYSIS: New York Jets running back Breece Hall was a polarizing fantasy football draft pick this year. Many were worried he wouldn’t be 100% this season after tearing an ACL as a rookie. Others were willing to back the superstar’s talent. The second-year running back has been hit-or-miss after starting the year on a snap count.
Hall is the RB17 for the season, averaging 12 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has 124 rushing attempts for 569 yards and two touchdowns. The superstar running back also has 38 rushing attempts for 320 yards and two touchdowns this year.
More importantly, the second-year running back has had explosive performances. In Hall's first game off the snap count, he had 22 rushing attempts for 177 yards and a touchdown, scoring 26.9 fantasy points in the win over the Denver Broncos in Week 5. However, Hall has struggled lately.
Over the past four weeks, the talented running back has averaged 10.3 fantasy points per game, totaling more than nine only once. Unfortunately, Hall faces a talented Atlanta Falcons run defense on Sunday.
The Falcons have held running backs to only 14.3 fantasy points per game this season, the second-fewest in the NFL. Furthermore, they are the only team in the league not to give up a rushing score to running backs.
