BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 22% of leagues
ANALYSIS: New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo has been one of the most patient hitters in the league so far this year. Through 26 games, Nimmo has a 1:1 K/BB rate with 22 walks and 22 strikeouts. Hitting at the top of the Mets lineup, he has scored 19 runs this year, thanks in large part to his .430 on-base percentage.
Nimmo missed half of the 2019 season with a neck injury, but struggled overall throughout the year, slashing .221/.365/.407 with eight home runs, 71 strikeouts and 46 walks over 69 games. This year, he's made a massive turnaround. He's lowered his strikeout rate from 28% in 2019 to just 19.3% this year. Meanwhile, his barrel rate is up from 6.8% in 2019 to 9.1% in 2020.
Nimmo needs to be added in all leagues of 12 teams or deeper and he's even worth adding in most shallow leagues as well. He's showing elite plate discipline with solid power potential and he's going to see a ton of at-bats from the top of the Mets order the rest of the year.
